RESEARCH COORDINATOR

Malene Alleyne is a Jamaican human rights lawyer with over six years of experience working with international human rights bodies and organizations. Prior to joining MSI Integrity, she was a Human Rights Specialist at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and was also a UN consultant tasked with drafting the curriculum for an international human rights law training course for Judges in Jamaica. She was also selected as a country researcher for a UN Domestic Impact Study that is being coordinated in collaboration with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Malene is the co-founder of Fringe Unicorn, a multi-platform space that promotes human rights. She is also an officer of the Human Rights Law Committee of the International Bar Association. Malene holds a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School and a Master of Advanced Studies degree from the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva. She received her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eckerd College. She is qualified to practice law in Jamaica, having received her Legal Education Certificate of Merit from the Norman Manley Law School.
